Kateri Béchard
Artist
Born in 1957 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Kateri was influenced, and still is, by her late father Jacques Béchard. She's a self-taught artist, who has been drawing from the day she was able to hold a piece of chalk to draw on a small blackboard that was sitting against the wall, on the kitchen floor, toddler height.
Over the years she exhibited at several locations from the Stewart Hall Art Gallery in Pointe-Claire, Quebec -- a show that was part of an exhibition of Inuit artifacts on loan from the McCord Museum of McGill University -- to the Green Door Gallery in Livingston, Montana.
Her paintings are found in private collections in Canada and in the United States.
